An in-depth knowledge of bloodstock is a prerequisite to offering any advice on equestrian planning and management. Over 30 years of involvement in the industry gives John Johnstone (MRICS) the experience and practical knowledge to advise and act on wide range of Equestrian matters.

As well as advising and implementing sales of Equestrian property, John has also acted for clients Leasing and Renting Racing Yards, and as a Regulated Valuer (RICS) has provided valuations for tax, bank security and other purposes.

John has also undertaken design projects, including a 150 acre stud in Normandy involving both new build and conversation of traditional buildings.

Rural Property Advice

Keylocks acts as Consultants through John Johnstone on rural affairs such as environmental legislation, securing rural grants, and on planning and other issues to approximately 20 Thoroughbred Studs on a national basis. In addition to Open Market transactions, John also undertakes sales and purchases on an ‘off market’ highly confidential basis.
